Dial-up...

Fed up with the school IT goons blocking access to my Facebook page, I decided that I was going to check Facebook whether they liked it or not. Apex High School had a landline telephone outside the attendance window for student use, so I walked over to it with my laptop in my hand, waved to Ms. Rue the attendance lady and unplugged the telephone. Ms. Rue apparently was focused on her computer and didn’t notice. I then booted up Windows, plugged the phone cord into my modem and the sounds of Dial-up began to scream out of my computer. Hilariously, Ms. Rue still didn’t notice which made this even more hilarious especially since I had to stand there for at least 5 minutes while my Facebook wall loaded in Internet Explorer. After checking my Facebook, I logged off my computer and went back to class.
